Mammoet Mammoet is a Dutch company specializing in lifting and transporting objects, both on land and at sea. Mammoet operates worldwide and has become a well-established name due to its many years of experience, knowledge, and the use of advanced equipment. The company is active in various sectors, including industry, petrochemicals, civil engineering, and maritime.
The start with Hoeflon "We came to Hoeflon because of an installation project. A mini crane was the best solution to carry out this project. At the time, we didn’t have one in our possession, and due to the duration of the project, it was decided to purchase one. The first machine, a C10, was delivered in 2018."
Why Hoeflon? Mike: "We mainly chose Hoeflon because of the electric aspect and the ease of operation. Especially in the type of work we use these cranes for, a combustion engine is often out of the question. The demand for more and larger types of Hoeflon grew quickly, and when the C30e came onto the market, the decision was made quickly. The first C30e was delivered in 2019. Since then, we have purchased several Hoeflon machines, but we also still rent machines often. Recently, we acquired the Multitool. We’ve already carried out several jobs with it, and it’s a great extension of our Hoeflon range."

The products are user-friendly, and in case of emergencies, Hoeflon is easily accessible.
Where are our machines used? The Hoeflon machines are mainly used at Mammoet within our ‘Mammoet Industrial Services’ division. For this, we handle logistical movements of objects under a roof or in a confined environment. This includes factory relocations, installation of complete production lines or standalone machines. We've even moved a complete organ in a church. Actually, nothing is too crazy or challenging for us."
Advantages of the machine We use the Hoeflon machines to carry out the customer’s job in a safe, smart, and efficient manner. Our customers see that the use of these kinds of products adds value to Mammoet and, therefore, also to Hoeflon. There are often alternative solutions, but they come with many drawbacks, especially concerning safety."
Electric "I think it’s a great development that all Hoeflon machines have become emission-free. We notice that customers have a strong desire to work without emissions. This is mainly due to the sustainability aspect, but in industries like food production, it's important that no harmful substances are released during operations. The noise level of an electric crane is also a big advantage and has a positive effect on our workers' working conditions."
Service "We have chosen a service and maintenance contract. If problems arise suddenly, we cannot afford any downtime."
The contact "We have good contact with the staff at Hoeflon. In the past, the cranes were mostly used in the civil and construction sectors, and we started using them in industry. As a result, we did face some challenges at first, but together we’ve found good solutions."
The future of Mammoet Mike sees Mammoet Industrial Services growing in the coming years. "There is a great need for a company like Mammoet to carry out this type of work correctly. We are mainly an extension of the client. Mammoet has all the disciplines in-house, including engineering, project management, transport, cranes, and assembly. We offer something unique in the market in this regard."
The future with Hoeflon "We are very satisfied with the collaboration with Hoeflon. The product range is user-friendly, and in case of breakdowns or emergencies, Hoeflon is easily reachable. Additionally, the development Hoeflon is going through aligns with Mammoet's ambitions," says Mike.
